ABOUT
Marley Keith is a lighting designer now based in Seattle, WA. She graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, UT, in the Spring of 2023, where she received a degree in Design and Technical Management, with an emphasis in lighting design, and also pursued a minor in Sound Production and Recording.
While pursuing her degree in Utah, she had many amazing freelance opportunities. She has been involved in several productions with companies around the state of Utah, such as Salt Lake Acting Company, the Utah Opera, Deer Valley, Red Butte Gardens, the Eccles Center, and more. She has had the opportunity to work outside of the state as well, in New York City, as the the Assistant Lighting Designer for A.R.T.'s production of The Refugees in 2022.
She had the honor of winning the National Award for Excellence in Lighting Design at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Washington D.C. for her lighting work on Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This award also came with a generous invitation to attend the Prague Quadrennial.
She moved to Seattle in the summer of 2024, and is currently attending the University of Washington to pursue her MFA in Lighting Design, and is expected to graduate in 2027.
Marley has a huge passion for design, storytelling, and turning lights on and off, and she is always excited to create, collaborate, and learn.
